How To Make Matcha White Chocolate Cookies


Matcha Cookie is one of the unique cookie that I baked for years.It is made from a finely ground green tea leaves which is the secret to this cookie.I try to science and some twistin it because it is rarely found in some pastry shops but you can make them on your own if you have a green tea powder. So if you have one, this recipe I made is for you

Recipe (Makes up to 2 dozen of regular cookies or 4 dozen of mini cookies):
(Storing Time: a day until a week)

Dry Ingredients:
2¼ cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of Matcha powder (ground green tea)

Wet Ingredients:
1½ sticks of butter
¾ cups of white sugar
¼ cups of brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
Green Gel Food Coloring (Optional: to add more green-color to your cookie)
1 cup of white chocolate chips

1.) In a large bowl, Sift together your dry ingredients and mix them until it is incorporated.
2.) Preheat your oven to 350°F and lined two parachements paper onto your baking tray or two silicon mat.
3.)In an another large bowl, Mix in your butter and sugars until it is light and creamy.
4.) Add in your eggs one at a time into your wet mixture. (Add your one egg then mix- after mixing then add the other egg)
5.)Add in your vanilla paste or extract into your wet mixture. You can also add your green-gel food coloring to emphasis the color of your cookie
6.)After you completely mix your wet mixture,Fold in your dry mixture to your wet mixture half at a time (After the half dry mixture is incorporated to your wet mixture add in the other half dry mixture)
7.) After you fold your dry mixture from the wet mixture, Add in your white chocolate chips then fold it until everything in the mixture is mixed with chips.
8.)Tablespoon: Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture using your tablespoon from your measuring cup then roll it into balls and place them on the paper or mat leaving 1″ space between the cookies.
Using an Ice Cream Scoop: Scoop in the mixture and place them on the paper or mat leaving 1″ space between the cookies.
9.)Bake them for about 12-15 minutes until the sides are a bit brownished-green in color
10.)Let it cool for about 5 minutes then place them onto the cooling rack (if you do not have a cooling race place them onto the clean egg tray)
11.) Voila! Your Matcha Cookie is ready to eat!
