Mini Peppermint Meringues

Christmas might be one of the best holidays of the year because not only we celebrate the birthday of our Lord, Jesus Christ, but also to spend a great time with our family and friends.

Craving for sweet treats this Christmas? Well I have an idea, why don’t you try these awesome Christmas Mini Meringues. They are light, airy and great present for your close friends and relatives. They are also easy yet fun to make. All you need is sugar,egg whites and coloring of your choice. Let me share to you my recipe for these amazing Christmas-Themed dessert.

Christmas Mini Meringues

 Ingredients: (Makes up to 30 Mini Meringue Kisses)
2 egg whites (66g)
⅓ cup of granulated sugar
red food coloring (gel or drops)
1 teaspoon of peppermint extract

Procedure:
a. Preheat your oven to 90 degrees C (194 degrees F) and line a baking paper with a baking tray. While preheating, assemble your pipping bag ,fitted with a round-tip, with a paint brush and a food coloring
b. In a tiny plate or bowl, put a drop of food coloring.With the help of paint brush, paint the inside of the pipping bag (from the depth of the bag upward in a straight motion).Repeat these process leaving ⅓ inch on each lines until the inside is filled up circularly.
c. In a large bowl with a hand-mixer (or you can use stand-mixer), beat the egg whites until frothy. Add in the sugar ⅓ at a time. Mix it until it gets soft peaks then add in the peppermint extract. Mix until it gets stiif peaks (cloudy consistency)
d. Place the mixture into the painted pipping bag, Pipe the mixture directly onto the parachement paper (Measurement: 3cm in diameter Shape: Kisses)
e. Bake the meringues in the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Let it cool after baked.
f. When served! Serve it with a hot chocolate as a complement for these sweet dessert
f. Store the meringues in an airtight container at room temperature
